Books to read for

Do you love to read? Your brain reacts differently when you read for fun rather than read critically. Recent research from Stanford showed that reading casually activates your brain’s pleasure center. When reading critically to analyze and understand the text, your brain shows increased activity in the prefrontal cortex, the area of your brain responsible for executive functions. Because your prefrontal cortex also plays a role in working memory, decision making and attention, scientists propose that reading critically could positively impact these functions. THE “NOT SO “ AAM AADMI PARTY !

THE “NOT SO “ AAM AADMI PARTY !

A year ago or two, a movement was started, which seemed, I reitrate that word seemed to create ripples in Indian political scenario. It was the anti corruption movement started by Anna Hazare following the foot steps of Gandhiji, reminding us of the freedom struggles we studied only in the history books. The movement gathered nation wide support due to the fact that they had no political lineations either with the left, centre or the right ! But a segment of that group diverted and formed  a new political party called The Aam Admi Party under the leadership of Arwind Kejriwal, which was so determined in its oath against corruption, touting it as the second freedom struggle. But the 49 days of AAP rule in New Delhi is a record in its own unique way. It was people’s rule ….mmmm….no I will say that way, it was a rule by people who wanted to do something for the people, who loved their people.Critics say it as an anarchy, but a good one I say. A very professional government I say, Struck literally to its election manifesto, great! The resignation as was said by Arwind Kejriwal later was a bad decision, in the sense that, if it had continued in power, the party could have got a root in the history of Delhi state politics, and catching on that tide they could have captured the centre. But in a country having occult roots of corruption from the basement till the roof, to cleanse, I say cleanse such a country of the stain will take his life time, and I think kejriwal was a bit too over ambitious ! The party has good leaders, very skillful persona, dynamic, exuberating, shining that in its first attempt itself they passed the exams with a distinction, but they forfeited the result blaming the university, what is this yaar ? Kuch to karo naa ! This is impotence from the part of AAP ! The news and posts about the lavish luxurious lifestyle of the AAP members wont do any good for them in the first palce, considering other leaders humble backgrounds ! India is not going to benefit anything from this hi class people, who certainly have the intent, but lack in content and experience, you have to gain in experience in any field. This time Modi wave will surely drown the AAP and the Congress mainly due to the rhetorics and determination of Modi.I wish the AAP had some spine and guts.

AHAM BRAHMASMI vs GOD MEN DILEMMA

Starting from the sai babas, the sankaracharyas, the sri sri ravi sankars, the mata amruthanandamayees, the dilemma or influence that such spiritual gurus have in our soceity is substantial, economically and socially. These people who happen to be human are worshipped as god. One thing is that, it puts a full stop even though a temporary full stop to humans concept of god or that even god is a concept, so human cannot worship any other thing other than himself as god.It may be the evolution of hinduism post modern era from veda to vedanta to idol worship to bhakti revolution to god man. The ocean of followers that these people have may be due to well planned and tried marketing techniques in addition to these gurus influence.I don’t see anything different in them, they are not even leaders! I don’t bother about such personas because they need not be. They don’t create any influence on me or havent created. They have no histories behind them, no stories of fighting against poverty or untouchability which are the problems plauging human soceity, they seem to behave out of worldly.like the Hindu gods in the puranas as Krishna, Rama,Siva, they have not fought any wars with ravans or rakshasas, not got any heroics, any skills, they are not at all impressive.Let them not misguide the soceity!
