DIABETIC AND CHOLESTROL ERA

AYURVEDA FOR DIABETES AND CHOLESTROL
Diabetes and high cholestrol levels are a common factor among the youth nowadays, and the villain unlike popular perception is not excessive fatty foods( though junk foods are resonsible), but excessive carbohydrate intake, which is high in white rice, sugar, and junk foods. Refined oils are also responsible as per American Heart Association that was in a recent video confirmed by our allopaths in kerala who think themselves to be the authorised persons for everything related to health issues. They have even went out to the extent of complaining about ayurvedic medicines out in open, when its none of their business. For the information of all people, ayurveda is a feild of medicine which is authorised in india and authorised researches are happening in AIIMS -AYURVEDA , NIA-JAIPUR , NIMHANS-BANGALORE to name a few of the premier institutions. Let me present before you some points so that , i can take your attention to things which are important and you dont forget these..
(1) EXERCISE : 150 minutes of exercise per week is mandatory as per WHO norms of health. It is very important and unavoidable to control and prevent diabetes. Nowadays, there are various apps that give you cardio exercises that are simple and require no equipments. HIIT CARDIO APP is one such app.
(2) FIBRE : Fibre content in diet gives you satiation and a feeling of fullness so your cravings are well dealt with. Also fibres help i n controlling sugar levels and cholestrol levels. They provide roughage and aid in digestion. Though on having indigestion, avoiding fibre is recommended. After correcting digestive problems, fibre diet may be continued on
(3) PUFAS : Poly unsaturated fatty acids which are omega3 & 6 fatty acids are good cholestrols that aid in cleansing arteries of blocks. These are present in groudnuts(peanuts), flaxseeds(linseed), sesame seeds(sesame oil also), olive oils, fatty fishes like sardine, tuna, maquerels, cashew nuts, walnuts, almond etc. Take these in moderation as PUFAS are need only in micro quantities. As few as 2-3 cashew and badam per day would do . Peanuts can be taken in still more larger quantities on a weekly basis though daily is not needed. Replacing coconut oil with sesame oil, or groundnut oil or olive oil is necessary as coconut oil contains high amount of saturated fats.
(4) GRAINS WITH HUSK : dehusked grains are high in carbohydrates. we need to reduce carbohydrates inorder to reduce both diabetes and cholestrol. So take red bran rice instead of polished white rice, take whole wheat powder that contains granules instead of finely powdered. Go to a mill and powder wheat wholly with size that is a bit larger than usual. Fine wheat powders are also high carbohydrate sources. Wheat has good source of proteins, minerals and other micronutrients.Barley and oats are also equally good ..Avoid simple carbohydrates.
(5) MILLETS : Millets are a good source of fibres and low in calories . So they dont account to being converted to fats in our body. Corn taken after boiling is very good instead of powdering it.
(6) AYURVEDIC MEDICATIONS :
There are a wide range of ayurvedic medications like NISHAKATHAKADI, KATHAKAKHADIRADI, DIAJITH POWEDER(OF AVP), D-NIL CAPSULES( OF AVP), ASWAJITH CAPSULES( OF AVP IN NEUROPATHY), VARANADI, TRIPHALA CHOORNAM ETC for treatment of wide range of symptoms and seriosity.
(7) HOMELY TREATMENT : certain things are available in our home that are miracle cures for TGCL and DM. Garlic is a good artery cleaner, it cleans blocks. Fenugreek is good for diabetes as well as triglycerides. Turmeric powder(home made) is good for reducing diabetes and cholestrol and systemic inflammations, and the like.
