I have noted that kakamachi is given the Sanskrit name for karimuthil or Geophila repent, which I found wrong. One of my seniors said it to be Neelamundi. Thanks to Dr. Ajayan Sadanandan sir, that we got the correct Sanskrit name for karimuthil, which is actually neelamundi. I have attached references citing kakamachi is actually manitakkali, belonging to solanum family. Whilst Geophila belongs to rubiaceae. Karimuthil is also called karimkudangal or karimtakkali.,locally. It has a solitary white flower, and small reddish fruits on ripening, really minute. It is a creeper. Let this information spread through web.
